Being mindful in the real world is our ultimate goal. Eating is a great way to practice being present. You focus on what is happening while you are eating. You consciously remain aware of all aspects of your eating from the taste to smell to texture and temperature. When you notice that your mind has switched to auto-pilot, then you gently guide it back to the activity of eating.

Practicing consistently is the key to mastering new skills.
